Dan Clews and various members of the We Teach Music team have been running music holiday courses for around 15 years with hundreds of students making incredible connections to both music and theatre and also other likeminded young performers.
Rock & Pop Courses: The formula is simple; form the band, write the music, make the record and play the gig. We aim to squeeze this into a jampacked musical week, during which we see incredible development in our students in so many areas. Students are grouped into bands based on level and instrumental skills this is followed by 2 days of learning and developing repertoire, the latter part of the course is aimed at writing and recording followed by a final show on the Friday. We often see students continue to work within these bands beyond the music courses and encourage this by actively helping find those first gigs on the live music circuit.
Musical Theatre Courses: An intensive week will be full to the brim of learning how to apply not only technical aspects to singing songs but also how to perform them. You will delve into the world of Musical Theatre through use of games, movement and warmups plus learning vocal methods currently used on the West End and Broadway. Having over 20 years of Performing and Teaching expertise, at Schools such as Arts Ed, GSA and Mountview, Jonathan promises to deliver a fun, informative and very intense week resulting in a Performance on the last evening.
All courses are run within COVID safety guidelines
Courses run Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm during holiday periods.
